Hello, I am in the beginning of the book. I am 34 years old, 185 pounds and 5'9'' tall. I have gained 30 punds in the last 10 years and it has been very hard for me to get rid of the extra pounds. I am planning to get pregnant but I know I must loose all the weight I havI would like to know wheree gained.

I am starting this week the diet and reading the book at the same time.
I have a question..

Where  can I find the BMI chart??

Thanks Star

Hi,

Firstly, thank you for buying the book, I am sure that you will find it interesting and it should change the way you think about food etc.

There is a link to the BMI chart on our web site "links" page (www.TheBirchallDiet.com) but here is the direct link to the BMI chart.

I would suggest that you aim to be in the high part of "normal" and no less. I personally find that just fractionally above normal suits me best.

If you are planning to have a baby then you must put your health first. Losing some weight will obviously help, but please try to make this a slow and careful process. Your baby will need you to have plenty of energy and for your body to be strong.

A severe diet can leave you short on valuable energy.

Whatever happens, your doctor knows what is best for you and your baby, so please listen to your doctor and remember - HEALTH FIRST - BODY SHAPE second!

Sorry to make that sound a bit like a lecture, but it is so important.

At least on this diet you will be eating normal foods (I hope) and not diet foods that are artificially produced to "trick" your body into thinking that it has something wholesome to digest.

I have found that people who are following my diet become a LOT healthier because they are now listening to their body (and it really DOES know best).

I wish you the very best of luck with your health and your baby (you won't need luck with the diet, it WILL work if you follow it reasonably closely.)

I am always here to help if you are unsure of anything.

Please keep us informed of your progress (with both things!) and let me know what you think of the diet when you have read the book fully and started to try it out.

Thank you
